If you're drawn to a modern heritage aesthetic, this collaboration is one to have on your radar. Sharland England founder Louise Roe has partnered with Crate & Barrel Kids, and the result checks all the right boxes.
I'll admit, I'm a new admirer of Louise Rose and a little disappointed she wasn't on my radar sooner. The more time I spent exploring her work, the more drawn I am to her keen eye for nostalgia.
If you've ever spent time on her Instagram or browsed her website, you'll immediately feel the warmth and intention behind her work. Her spaces feel layered, collected, and thoughtfully curated without ever feeling overdone.
Designed with both child and parent in mind, this collection has the ability to effortlessly grow with the child. Nothing feels overly themed or trend-driven, making them easy to transition and live with for years to come.
There's a clear nod to traditional country gardens throughout and beautifully captures classic English design through a modern lens. Texture and warmth play a big role throughout the collection, bringing depth and character to children's spaces while still feeling elevated and intentional.
Some of my favourite pieces are the Petit Matelot Bed, with its wooden bun feet, paired with the subtle striped upholstery and solid-tone piping. The Crosby 6-Drawer Dresser, inspired by Victorian English furniture with the carved diamond detailing that adds a beautiful sense of craftsmanship and depth. And the matching Crosby Desk instantly made me wish they made this in a size for adult use.
I've put together a concept space for a little girls bedroom using only pieces from Lousie Roe's collaboration. A space that feels layered, warm and timeless with just the right mix of heritage and modern ease.
